My Dad's computer needs (in my opinion) more RAM. It's an older box with a single 256 MB PC133 SDR DIMM stick of RAM. Not sure what else I need to know... number of pins?
A quick look around suggests that they made 512 MB sticks... so ideally I need two.
Anyone got anything gathering dust, or know where best to look?

Seems I've got a case of the stupids and likely just lost all of our photos and documents. In case I can't recover them (or rather have them professionally recovered) I was wondering who out there has copies of photos from our wedding, various hiking trips, canoe trips etc? 'Cause it'd sure be nice to get a copy. |

We would like to know who really believes in gay rights on livejournal. There is no bribe of a miracle or anything like that. If you truly believe in gay rights, then repost this and title the post as "Gay Rights." If you don't believe in gay rights, then just ignore this. Thanks.
I could babble incoherently about what the hell the word rights actually means, but that's not the point. People are people, and they love/like/lust what they love/like/lust.
Whatever two consenting adults do/feel/share is none of my business. That sounds too negative... like the quote oft attributed to Voltaire about defending others rights to say what they want to say...
I don't think of gay rights as something that I need to defend despite finding it gross/unnatural.
People are people. Two people expressing love/affection/desire trump anyone expressing hate/fear/resentment any day.
Nothing gross or unnatural about it.
That said, there is a point when people of whatever orientation just need to get a room... if you know what I mean. |

| Computer Woes |

jillybean74 installed STOPzilla on our computer in an effort to fix some problems.
I'm a little sketchy on the details, but she tried to go online while it was scanning, and couldn't, so she paused it. She still couldn't, so she stopped it. She still couldn't, so she uninstalled it. She still couldn't, and I still can't.
So as it stands, I can connect to our PC over the network with my work laptop, but I can't make our PC find anything with a browser.
Any suggestions would be appreciated. |
